The estranged husband of Suchana Seth, the CEO of an AI startup accused of killing her four-year-old child, appeared before the Calangute police in Goa on Saturday as part of the investigation, an official said.
Seth allegedly smothered her son at a service apartment in north Goa’s Candolim, put his dead body in a bag and hailed a cab to return to Bengaluru, but was arrested mid-way from Chitradurga in Karnataka on January 8, the report said. Police.
“Venkat Raman, the husband of the accused, arrived here from Bengaluru in the afternoon and reached Calangute police station. We will record his statement in the case as part of the investigation,” the official said.
Raman was in Jakarta, Indonesia when the murder took place.
According to police, the woman suffocated her son to death before attempting suicide by slitting her wrist, according to initial investigations.
