Finally an AI for the humans! Artificial intelligence powered app chooses the perfect bottle of wine for YOU by simply analyzing the labels
Most people feel overwhelmed as they stroll down the wine aisle, but a new AI-powered app can find the perfect bottle of vino in seconds.
The app, called Sippd, learns about your taste buds based on a seven-question assessment quiz that asks what colors, bodies, and sweetness you prefer.
You can then go to the store, pick up a bottle from the shelf and click the label on it – the AI-powered software will analyze the information to reveal a ‘Taste Match’ score.
Sippd will also feature tasting notes, food pairings, store prices, and community reviews.

Blake Hershey, CEO and co-founder of Sippd, said in a statement: “Traditional wine selection, whether in restaurants, stores or online, can be overwhelming and tedious.
“We believe choosing wine shouldn’t feel like a high-stakes gamble.
Sippd was designed to relieve this pressure. Our AI-driven platform learns about your palate preferences based on a short palate assessment quiz, and recommends wines that perfectly match your taste profile.”
According to the company’s website, users open the app and tap the “Camera” icon to activate the wine scanner.
Then select the “Bottle Label” icon and snap a photo of the bottle facing you, with a screen displaying the Taste Match score and ratings.
“Rate the wine on a scale of one to five stars, write down aromas, flavors or who you enjoyed the bottle in your private notes section, and edit four signature wine sliders to remember what the wine tasted like,” Sippd said in a statement. rack.

This feature works similarly to scanning a bottle, but instead users select “Wine List” and the scanner analyzes the physical restaurant menu.
Sippd also announced a direct-to-consumer subscription service that offers members a personalized wine experience delivered to their door.
The Wine Club offers two membership options, allowing members to choose the plan that best fits their budget and lifestyle: the Classic and the Explorer.
The Classic membership includes four bottles in a box for $69.99 (or $17.50/bottle) and Explorer offers six bottles for $89.99 (or $15.00/bottle).
