AI domain marketplace BrandPa acquired by HostPapa

Web hosting and cloud services provider HostPapa has acquired leading AI domain marketplace company BrandPa.

The deal means BrandPa’s domain sellers will have better opportunities to market their premium domains to HostPapa’s existing web hosting customers, as well as more payment options and a higher level of support.

The exact terms of the deal were not disclosed, but it appears that both brands will share expertise to improve the user experience and offerings for their respective employees and customer bases.

HostPapa includes BrandPa

“Adding Brandpa and its powerful AI technology to the HostPapa portfolio of products and services reflects our commitment to providing innovative solutions that meet the changing needs of businesses and entrepreneurs around the world,” said Jamie Opalchuk, CEO of HostPapa. “This will enable companies of all sizes to create an attractive and recognizable brand online with unprecedented ease.”

HostPapa is a Canadian web hosting and cloud service provider focused on delivering a range of enterprise-level solutions for all business owners that are traditionally out of reach for smaller businesses.

The company hopes its new tools will give HostPapa customers the ability to use AI-enhanced marketing tools and 3D brand images to help businesses grow their identity online, as well as improve SEO for landing pages.

BrandPa grew out of a digital marketing agency that regularly had to come up with new domain names for their clients. BrandPa says: “Through a lot of hard work, we got good at this. We tried looking through dictionaries and mixing words. We tried to deconstruct what makes a word ‘work’. We started developing tools to help us come up with more original names Ultimately, we realized how others could benefit from what we had learned. That’s why we started Brandpa to take the burden off coming up with new names.’

According to the Global Domain Names Strategic Market Report, 431.8 million domain names were registered in 2022 and the market is expected to grow 6.7% in 2026 to 557.7 million. This is because more and more startups and companies are taking on new projects that require a strong online identity.
