Ahsoka first trailer: Rosario Dawson finds himself at the center of the Star Wars universe as one of the last Jedi to take on the Empire in an action-packed clip
The highly anticipated first trailer for Ahsoka was released, starring Rosario Dawson as one of the last Jedi in the Star Wars Galaxy.
The 43-year-old actress appeared poised for action in the nearly two-minute clip released Friday at the Star Wars Celebration event in London after character posters of Lizzo and Jack Black in The Mandalorian were released.
In it, Rosario portrays Ahsoka Tano, Anakin Skywalker’s exiled Jedi Padawan, who eventually turned to the Dark Side to lead the Galactic Empire as Darth Vader.
The trailer appears to show that the live action series ties directly into several threads from the animated series Star Wars Rebels.
One of the more pivotal scenes in the clip is Ahsoka’s reunion with Sabine Wren (Natasha Liu Bordizzo), years after the disappearance of their friend Ezra Bridger (Eman Esfandi).

Sabine tells her “it’s been a while,” while Ahsoka quickly replies “things have changed.”
It also confirms that Mary Elizabeth Winstead will play Hera Syndulla, one of the main characters of that series.
However, an overarching darkness hangs over the trailer as General Admiral Thrawn is addressed in the trailer, though he was only seen on the back of his head.
The most stunning part of the clip came when Ahsoka said to Sabine, “I started hearing whispers about Thrawn returning as air to the realm.”
No doubt action had to be shown when Ahsoka conjured up a lightsaber to fight.
The trailer featured an epic showdown between the protagonist and Baylan Skoll (Ray Stevenson) who had the iconic red Sith lightsaber.
At that moment Hera was heard to say, “We must prepare for the worst.”
Ahsoka says her species is near extinction, then goes on to say, “The Jedi fell a long time ago. There aren’t many left.’
