Ahead of the ‘tsunami’ if Taylor Swift endorses Biden, conservative conference attendees suggest getting behind 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy

  • At a conservative conference in Las Vegas, Charlie Kirk warned of the ‘tsunami’
  • One participant suggested that Republicans are also leaning on famous people — like the 49ers’ much lesser-known quarterback Brock Purdy

Conservatives are increasingly concerned that Taylor Swift will support Joe Biden’s re-election and condemn any change in Republicans’ 2024 victory.

The world’s biggest pop star came up a few times this week at Turning Point Action’s Restoring National Confidence Summit in Las Vegas, Nevada, including during founder and CEO Charlie Kirk’s question and answer session.

There is speculation that Swift will use her widespread influence, especially over young women, to mobilize voters for Biden’s 2024 bid. And conservatives say they should be prepared for the “tsunami” this will cause.

Clark County Moms for Liberty Vice President Lorena Biassotti asked Kirk Monday night whether leaning on conservative and Christian icons would help Republican efforts. She specifically mentioned 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy, who has opened up about his faith.

‘That is a good idea. Brock is amazing, baby Brock,” Kirk responded, but admitted, “He’s not in the same ecosystem as Taylor Swift’s power, we have to be honest about that.”

Turning Point USA founder and CEO Charlie Kirk warned that Swift’s endorsement would be a “tsunami,” saying “you can combine any NFL player and they don’t have the same cultural influence as Taylor Swift”

“I’m a huge fan of Brock Purdy, but we’re all kidding ourselves if we think, I mean, you can combine any NFL player and they don’t have the same cultural influence as Taylor Swift,” he added when he spoke at his conference. also competes this week with the RNC’s Winter Meeting in Vegas.

Purdy’s team is going to the Super Bowl this year, but so is Swift’s friend Travis Kelce, who is a tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs.

A Gen Z member of the RNC also asked Kirk if the party could make more use of influencers to spread the conservative message, which the CEO of Turning Point USA says is a good idea.

Meanwhile, Senior Editor for Human Events Jack Posobiec said during his remarks at the conference on Tuesday morning that concerns about Swift are not based on her as a person – but on the “machine” that surrounds her.

“I don’t care who she’s dating, I can’t even keep track of who she’s dating,” Posobiec said, looking wearily at Swift’s dating history.

‘With Taylor Swift it is very clear. It’s not about Taylor Swift. People say, ‘Why do you hate Taylor Swift so much.’ I do not mind. It’s about the machine that surrounds her,” Posobiece insisted. “The machine that surrounds her that will be used to select low propensity voters. That’s the play.’

Conservative personality and Human Events Daily host Jack Posobiec said he’s concerned about the “machine” surrounding Swift, claiming she is a Democrat.

One conference attendee suggested that Republicans embrace 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy, who is also going to the Super Bowl this year. But Kirk admitted, “Brock is amazing, love Brock. He is not in the same ecosystem as Taylor Swift’s power, we have to be honest about that’

Posobiec said Democrats have been “treacherous” in the way they run elections and warned about the way they will play 2024, claiming they are using Swift as an “operation.”

“If Taylor Swift ends up supporting Joe Biden, it will be a tsunami that will be very, very difficult to thwart,” Kirk said during his speech on Monday. “And we warned about that.”

‘Taylor Swift is without a doubt the most powerful cultural phenomenon of this generation. It’s not even close,” she admitted. “And we better be prepared, because it looks like things are lining up for that, if that’s what she wants.”

“She passively supported Biden with an Instagram post. But if that happens, it could be an October surprise.”
