  • Ben thinks Harry is playing a prank on him

AFL superstar twins Harry and Ben McKay put Apple’s Face ID system to the ultimate test by seeing if they could hack into each other’s phones – and Ben wasn’t happy with the result.

The pair, who were both called up in 2016, have launched a podcast where they discuss footy news, give behind-the-scenes insight into their clubs and generally stir each other up.

In the latest episode, the brothers decided to see if they could trick the facial recognition software on each other’s iPhones.

In a music video from the episode, Carlton star Harry tries to break into Ben’s phone first, unsuccessfully.

“No, I didn’t like it,” said the show’s co-host, Will Ralston.

“So Harry couldn’t open Ben’s phone – what about the other way around?”

North Melbourne star Ben is then passed Harry’s phone and successfully defeats the software on his first try – and isn’t happy that the device thinks he looks exactly like his brother.

He thinks it’s a sting from his sibling and wonders if the phone was already unlocked when he received it.

“So you don’t have a passcode on it?” asks Ben.

‘Yes,’ confirms Harry.

‘No you will not do that. It’s a joke,” says Ben.

Ralston then tries to open the phone, but can’t get past the Face ID software.

He then hands the phone back to Ben for him to try again, and the device immediately unlocks.

Ben, who plays for North Melbourne, gets Harry’s phone and manages to trick the software on his first try – and isn’t happy about being mistaken for his brother.

Ben then asks if the cameraman filming the podcast can try to get into the phone, still believing he’s being taken for a ride – only to be proven wrong

“Why are you so offended?” laughs Ralston. “It’s your twin brother!”

Ben then asks if the cameraman can try to get into the phone, still believing he’s being taken for a ride – only to be proven wrong as the cameraman can’t get past Face ID either.

“I’m sorry, Ben – you look like him,” Ralston says. “That’s probably the best compliment you’ve ever had.”

Incredibly, the pair have yet to play each other in an AFL match, fueling the hilarious conspiracy theory that they’re actually the same person.

The twins have come to embrace the jokes, but there are still some footy fans who believe it to be true.
