Richmond hero Shai Bolton has asked burglars to return his premiership medals after they were stolen from his property in his absence.

Bolton, 24, had his prized medallions – won in 2019 and 2020 – stolen from his home in Malvern on December 18 last year while back in Perth.

The two-time premiership hero filed a burglary report with Victoria Police, but four months after the break-in, he’s no closer to being reunited with his medals.

“It is deeply saddening that items as cherished as my premiership medals are taken in this way,” Bolton told the newspaper. Announce sun.

“If anyone has any information on where they might be or could help get them back, it would mean a lot to me and my family.”

The police investigation into the burglary continues, reports the Herald Sun.

Bolton, with the support of the Tigers, has gone public in hopes of persuading the attacker to return his prized possessions.

They have asked for the medals to be returned to the Richmond Football Club, or for people to come forward if they have information on the whereabouts of the items.

Bolton is not the only premiership winner to have his medal stripped. Western Bulldogs legend Easton Wood’s medal – who led the club to the 2016 flag – was stolen from his home in Albert Park in April 2020.

That burglary also happened while Wood was away from home and his premiership watch, a drone and a World War I identification tag were stolen.

He intended to present the medal to his newborn daughter Matilda.

The AFL produced an identical replica for Wood and they are now believed to be following the police investigation as they were previously unaware of Bolton’s situation.
