AFL star Lachie Whitfield marries Adelle Beckwith in stunning Mornington Peninsula ceremony

The AFL star, 30, married his glamorous business partner on the Mornington Peninsula this weekend.

The lavish ceremony saw the couple marry in luxury at the Jackalope Hotel, about an hour and a half drive from Melbourne.

Lachie looked dashing in a classic black and white suit with a black tie and white carnation in his suit pocket.

Meanwhile, Adelle stunned in an elegant silk wedding gown that bared her bronzed shoulders.

For the reception, the blushing bride switched to a less elaborate outfit, but kept a touch of sophistication with the lace sleeves and a short satin skirt.

In a candid moment captured by their friends and posted to Instagram, Lachie leaned down to give his bride a kiss as she sat on a staircase.

Other guests gave a sneak peek at the lavish candlelit dinner, as well as the chic wedding cake they served for the occasion.

It comes as Lachie was recently embroiled in a comedy sketch controversy with his club fining him $5000 following an AFL investigation earlier this month.

Lachie was one of 13 players awarded penalties for the infamous Wacky Wednesday celebrations featuring offensive skits, which saw an anonymous source complain to the AFL.

Lachie and his teammate Connor Idun “reenacted a scene from the movie Django Unchained that features slavery” in a skit for the infamous post-season party.

For the reception, the blushing bride switched to a less elaborate outfit, but kept a touch of sophistication with the lace sleeves and a short satin skirt.

Josh Fahey (four-match suspension) dressed as former NRL player Jarryd Hayne and Jake Riccardi (two-match suspension) as a taxi driver.

During the course of the skit, Fahey simulated inappropriate actions on a sex doll. Riccardi was not involved in that part of the skit.

Harvey Thomas (two-match suspension) dressed as a professional sportsman, presumably Josh Giddey and Joe Fonti (two-match suspension) as a girl, and behaved inappropriately during their skit.

Toby McMullin (two-match suspension) and Cooper Hamilton (two-match suspension) simulated the September 11 terrorist attack on the World Trade Center.

In addition, club leaders Toby Greene, Sam Taylor, Tom Green and Harry Perryman were each fined $5,000 for failing to demonstrate an ‘appropriate level of leadership’ in failing to stop the continuation of the acts.

It is also understood there was a skit involving US music mogul Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, who is under investigation for sex trafficking and assault.

The club has announced that it will provide further education for the entire player group, in addition to the already mandatory information sessions on violence against women and racist and religious defamation.
