Adelaide Crows legend Andrew McLeod has proven he still looks like an athlete at the age of 47 after boxing training photos of himself and Port Adelaide Premier Kane Cornes emerged online.

The two-time Norm Smith medalist looked as fit as ever in photos posted by Adelaide Fight Club on Saturday.

Cornes, who is extremely fit himself and is training for a boxing fight with Nathan Brown, was caught up with the 340-fight star as the pair trained together.

“It’s a good thing you’re not fighting him (McLeod),” Cornes’ colleague Sam Edmund wrote.

‘How is Bunji (McLeod) fitter than when he played?!’ wrote another.

“Strewth Macca,” posted Paralympic runner Michael Roeger.

‘I love this! Bunji looks match fit,” wrote Sky News presenter Chris Kenny.

In 2017, McLeod admitted that he is as fit now as he was in his playing days, revealing that the secret was simply good nutrition and two hours of exercise a day.

“It’s the 80-20 adage: 80 percent nutrition and 20 percent exercise,” he said News Corp.

‘I try to stay active and watch what I eat. I train for two hours every day with a combination of running and cycling.

‘With my diet, I’m fortunate to have lived a top-flight footballer lifestyle for 16 years, so I’ve developed some good habits and while it can be easy to go the other way (and keep the weight off), I’m Fortunately, I managed to maintain healthy habits.’

The Crows legend said being a role model for Indigenous youth has also inspired him to stay in shape.

“With what I do, I have to try to be the best role model I can,” he said.

“In some of my programs I talk to kids about being healthy and taking care of themselves, and that’s what you have to live by, so that’s what I do and try to be the best role model I can.”
