- Hospitality tickets for the AFL Grand Final were illegally downloaded

A number of corporate tickets for the sold-out AFL Grand Final were illegally downloaded, forcing the league to cancel the barcodes on the tickets in question.
Victoria Police and the AFL Integrity Unit are investigating unauthorised access to corporate hospitality tickets via the AFL Event Office platform.
The illegal downloads have forced the AFL to postpone the planned delivery of corporate hospitality tickets purchased through the events agency on Tuesday.
On Saturday, Sydney will take on Brisbane in the grand final at the MCG.
The AFL said in a statement that it was “notified this morning of unauthorised access to a number of batches of these tickets”.
“The AFL Event Office has identified that corporate ticket sales for a number of events have been illegally downloaded and the AFL Integrity Unit has now contacted Victoria Police regarding the matter,” the statement said.
‘Victoria Police are investigating the unauthorised access to tickets from the AFL Event Office.’
According to the AFL, the following customers are affected: customers with tickets purchased from the event office for the hospitality experiences Before the Bounce; Crown Grand Final Breakfast; Grand Final Plus Pass; The Hassett Room; Ultimate Nobu and; Ultimate Suite.

“As a precaution, the AFL has cancelled all barcodes for these corporate hospitality experience tickets … and will reissue the tickets later this week,” the AFL said.
‘Relevant ticket holders who purchased a ticket for an AFL Event Office experience and received a ticket today … should remove those tickets as the barcode will not work at the MCG on Saturday.’
The AFL said club members, AFL, MCC and Medallion Club members, and September Club corporate suite holders, were not affected.
