Ex-AFL star Angus Brayshaw ties the knot with Danny Frawley’s daughter Danielle in stunning Mornington Peninsula ceremony
Angus Brayshaw has tied the knot with his long-time girlfriend Danielle Frawley on Melbourne’s Mornington Peninsula.
The former AFL star, 28, and Danielle exchanged vows in front of their family and friends in a picture-perfect outdoor ceremony on December 30.
Looking suave in a black tuxedo, Angus looked happier than ever as he packed on the PDA with his new wife in photos shared to Instagram.
Danielle, the daughter of late football legend Danny Frawley, was every bit the blushing bride in a stunning dress by Moira Hughes Couture.
A host of Angus’ former Demons teammates attended their wedding, including Nathan Jones, Jack Viney, Tom McDonald and Jake Melksham.
Angus and Danielle have known each other since they were children, as their families are close friends.

Years later, on a trip to visit the Brayshaw family home in Sandringham, they quickly hit it off and started dating as adults, according to Danielle’s mother Anita.
“We’ve been family friends with Debra and Mark [Brayshaw] for many, many years, 20, 25 years back, and we were at their house in Sandringham many years ago, and Angus and Danielle were there,” she said in 2021.
‘Mark and I answered straight away. I said, ‘There’s a spark here, Mark,’ and we had a great laugh.
‘We have a picture of them when they were seven, and we joke about it now because in those early days we thought something would happen.
“He’s a beautiful man.”
Melbourne midfielder Angus then asked Danielle the question last year and shared the news on Instagram at the time.
Angus told how the quiet surprise proposal came just after Danielle had stepped out of the shower and he was preparing her favorite dinner.
“I cooked her favorite salad, but I made her a steak,” he told Channel Seven.

Melbourne midfielder Angus then popped the question to Danielle last year in a low-key at-home proposal, sharing the news on Instagram at the time.
“It was tasty, but not too tasty, so she would expect something – and I overcooked her steak, which I’m not too proud of.”
He explained that he was trying to lull Danielle into a false sense of security and “keep her on her toes” so she wouldn’t suspect anything was going on.
‘[There were] a few tears, about ten seconds before I heard a real ‘yes’ come out of her mouth,” Brayshaw said of the reaction to his proposal.
“I was down on one knee thinking, gee, this is a little too long, but here we are.”
Danielle is the daughter of late AFL star and media personality Danny Frawley, who died in 2019 aged 56.
Angus also has sporting links in his family as his uncle is James Brayshaw, the retired cricketer and Seven Sport star, while his father Mark played for the North Melbourne Football Club.
Angus was forced to retire from the AFL in February this year at the age of 28 after suffering a series of concussions.
Last year, Angus suffered a concussion after Collingwood defender Brayden Maynard tried to smother his kick in the first quarter of the qualifying final.

Brayden escaped a ban over the controversial bump, which divided the football world and prompted the AFL to tinker with rules on throttling.
Angus said on his retirement: ‘I am devastated that I can no longer play the game I love, but I respect the judgment of the medical professionals and the importance of putting my health before my career.
‘I am really proud of what I have achieved over the past ten years. I was able to realize my childhood dream, and even though it may have fallen apart, I am forever grateful to everyone involved.”
Angus also suffered significant concussions early in his career, which led to him taking an extended break in 2017.
