AFL legend Sam Newman showed off his remarkably dark tan while attending a star-studded Grand Prix event in Melbourne on Wednesday.

The 77-year-old attended the Glamor on the Grid party at the Albert Park Circuit ahead of the highly anticipated 2023 Australian Formula One.

Despite plenty of glitter on the carpet, Sam kept things casual in a pair of dark wash jeans, a v-neck t-shirt, and a black blazer.

She completed her laid-back look with checkered Vans sneakers.

He showed off a slightly more tanned look than usual while posing in front of the media wall, suggesting that he may have recently improved his fake tan.

The former Geelong player is no stranger to improving his appearance and has admitted to having Botox and a nose job in the past.

He even received injections on TV during a segment on The Footy Show in 2007.

‘You see those wrinkles there, will they disappear next week?’ Sam asked the cosmetic doctor, referring to the lines on his forehead.

He underwent on-air Botox once again in 2012, telling his Footy Show co-hosts that the doctor did a “great job” when he couldn’t frown.

In addition to showing a wrinkle-free face, the former soccer star spoke candidly about his Podcast You Can’t Be Serious two years ago about having plastic surgery after breaking his nose.

He revealed that in addition to undergoing rhinoplasty, the doctor had also tightened his face with questionable results.

He made me look like a Manx cat for six years. My eyes rolled up like the star of I Dream of Jeannie,” he admitted.
