Afghan Gold Star Families Condemn ‘Old Fool’ Biden for Falsely Claiming No Troops Died on His Watch During Debate: ‘Our Children Deserve Better’

Relatives of US service members killed in Afghanistan told DailyMail.com they were shocked by President Biden’s shocking lie during the first presidential debate: that no service members have been killed under his administration.

In a stunning moment during Joe Biden’s disastrous debate that sent Democrats into a panic, Biden forgot about the deaths of 13 American soldiers in a suicide attack in Afghanistan.

The president claimed that no soldiers were killed during his time in office, which understandably angered the Gold Star families who suffered a terrible loss in August 2021.

They tell DailyMail.com that Biden’s comments in the debate were “outrageous” and a slap in the face.

Darin Hoover, the father of Taylor Hoover, a 31-year-old Marine Corps sergeant from Utah, told DailyMail.com that he “screamed” when he heard what “stumbling, clumsy old Joe” said during the debate.

“When Biden said not one person in the military was killed on his watch, I screamed at what I was hearing.”

During a back-and-forth conversation between the two men, Biden brought up Trump’s frequent claims that his presidency has been good for the U.S. military.

“The truth is, I am the only president of this century who has not had – this decade – any president where troops die anywhere in the world like he did,” Biden falsely claimed.

Biden was completely wrong when he claimed that no American troops were killed during his presidency. In fact, 13 soldiers were killed in an ISIS-K attack during the evacuation of Afghanistan.

“I knew I had heard what I had done, but I couldn’t believe he had the nerve to say it. Had he forgotten our thirteen children?” Hoover continued.

‘Didn’t he remember standing on the tarmac at the dignified transfer? Couldn’t he remember looking at his watch over and over again? We called him up for it several times!!’

Biden has previously been criticized for appearing to check his watch just seconds after a salute honoring the return of the 13 soldiers killed in Kabul.

But during the ceremony, Biden raised his left arm and looked at his watch.

“Biden can’t put Afghanistan in his rearview mirror fast enough, and yet it continues to haunt him. To say I was outraged would be a gross understatement!!” Hoover added.

“Our 13 children and their families and friends deserve much more than what that old fool gave them, and that is absolutely nothing.”

“His leadership has been reckless and weak and will continue to produce results of dead Americans. The fact that the entire ADMINISTRATION turns its back on him while being promoted and rewarded for their silence is equally shocking.”

Biden has “once again denied the service and sacrifice” of the troops killed at Abbey Gate, according to Steven Nikoui, the father of Lance Cpl. Kareem M. Nikoui.

“Joe Biden never mentioned my son’s name once and never contacted me. Now the rest of the world can finally see what we’ve been dealing with for the past three years.”

House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Michael McCaul, R-Texas, told the House floor Friday that Biden’s claim was evidence of “cowardice.”

And House Speaker Mike Johnson (Republican of Louisiana) also criticized the president for omitting the names of the dead service members.

The first bomber at the airport’s Abbey Gate was wearing a vest and was being frisked by troops when he exploded. The second was a car bomb attack at the Baron Hotel.

Biden himself addressed the nation after the bombing and vowed to find those responsible.

“These American service members who gave their lives — it’s a word overused, but it’s completely appropriate — they were heroes,” he said at the time.

‘Heroes who engage in a dangerous, selfless mission to save the lives of others.

‘They were part of an airlift, an evacuation effort the likes of which we had never seen before… They were among the bravest, most capable, most selfless forces on earth.

“We will hunt you down and make you pay. I will defend our interests and our people by every measure at my disposal.”
