Adrien Brody spent Wednesday afternoon having lunch with his mother, famed photographer Sylvia Plachy.

The 49-year-old actor was spotted out and about in Studio City, California with his 79-year-old mother after their lunch date.

The mother and son were seen walking arm in arm as Brody prepares for the launch of his new series Poker Face, which will debut later this month on Peacock.

He was seen holding his phone while cuddling with his mother as they left their lunch date.

The Oscar-winning actor completed his look with gray pants and white New Balance sneakers for the outing.

His mother, Sylvia, who was born in Hungary before her family immigrated to New York City, came out dressed in black.

She donned a black shirt under a black leather coat carrying a large black bag with black pants and black shoes.

The outing comes as Brody comes off a busy year in 2022, playing Pat Riley on HBO’s hit series Winning Time, along with two movies: See How They Run and the controversial film Blonde.

She’ll also kick off 2023 on a busy note, starring in Peacock’s new series Poker Face with Natasha Lyonne, from creator Rian Johnson (Glass Onion, Knives Out).

Brody will also be part of the star-studded ensemble in Wes Anderson’s new film, Asteroid City, which is scheduled to open on June 23.

He has also completed Manodrome and El Tonto, although no release date was given for either project.

Brody made headlines last year when, almost 20 years after his historic Best Actor win for The Pianist, he revealed that three-time Oscar winner Jack Nicholson had asked him to boycott the ceremony.

Brody still holds the record as the youngest Best Actor winner (29 years old) for his commanding portrayal of Holocaust survivor Wladyslaw Szpilman in The Pianist.

The actor, now 48, spoke about the experience in a wide-ranging interview with Sunday timewhere he revealed that Nicholson asked all nominees to stay out of the ceremony in response to the US invasion of Iraq, just weeks before the broadcast.
