Foodies are losing it over a multi-purpose watermelon fork that lets you slice, dice and eat the fruit
The genius product is on sale for $20 on Amazon. The gadget has a knife on one side with which you can cut the watermelon and then cut it into cubes, and a fork on the other side to eat the diced fruit
“I was speechless when I saw how this watermelon fork works. This allows you to clean this watermelon seamlessly in every corner,” says Adrian.
Fans love the “great” product and are desperate to get one.
“I love this,” said one woman.
“I’m obsessed,” wrote one satisfied customer.
Others advised that an inexpensive way to make the product yourself would be to bend the outer two prongs inward.
“Bend two fork ends and do the same,” said one man.
Some people were not convinced that the gadget was a necessity.
‘Useful? Just use a knife,’ one man remarked.
“I appreciate the spirit of invention, but maybe it wasn’t made because it’s not necessary.”
The foodie previously shared another watermelon cutter that makes “easy” watermelon cubes.
The watermelon “windmill” cutter costs $30 on Amazon and can be used on a range of fruits, including cantaloupe and papaya.
Fans have said they are “running” to Amazon to get this product.
These gadgets work best when the fruit is ripe.
The green lines on a watermelon are a good indication of whether the watermelon is ripe or not, they should be at least two fingers apart when ripe.
People have different theories on how to know whether the watermelon will be sweet or not.
Some believe that if the root tip on the bottom of the watermelon is small, it means the fruit is super sweet, others believe that the watermelon is sweet if the whole fruit is large and round, if there is an orange discoloration, or if there are bands to be.
