Adrian ‘Mr Lambo’ Portelli reveals plans to build a hospital in Penrith – as he bankrolls new medical facility for ‘high physical needs patients’
Adrian ‘Mr Lambo’ Portelli has revealed his grand plans to build a hospital in Penrith, claiming he will break ground within ‘two to three months’.
The billionaire businessman, 35, who rose to fame as a serial bidder on The Block, took to Instagram on Tuesday to show off images of the two hectares of land he wants to build on.
He said the hospital is being built for “patients with high physical needs” because there is a “shortage” of medical care in the area for those in need.
You saw Adrian walking through a path amidst overgrown grass on the property where there were still a few dilapidated houses that were no longer lived in.
“We made a quick pit stop in Penrith because, for a little side project that not many people know about, I’ve bought two hectares of land here in Penrith, as you can see,” he began.
‘We are actually building a hospital here for patients with high physical needs. It will be a very fun project. Apparently there is a shortage of people in need in this area.’

He added: “I think we’ll start here in about two, three months. This is a project that has been going on for a year and a half, two years, but in the end we were all approved by the municipality.’
It comes as Adrian made sure Christmas came early for hundreds of customers at a Western Sydney Coles supermarket by handing out $150,000 on Tuesday.
The entrepreneur gave that total amount in Coles vouchers to 1,000 families in the Coles linked to Nepean Village on Reserve Street at 9.30am.
Families who shopped at Coles on Hamilton Road in Fairfield West in the afternoon also received some of the money.
“The safety of our team member and our customers is our priority during this generous giveaway, which is why we have deployed additional security to ensure the gift voucher queue is properly managed,” a Coles spokeswoman said in a statement.
Hundreds of people lined up at the shops to see Adrian and those who were lucky enough received a voucher from him worth $100 or $200.
“It shows how desperate people are in these times and we are happy to help,” he said last month.
“Many of these people have supported me over the past year, so it’s time to give back.”

Adrian is the founder of the online company LCMT+ which regularly gives away large cash prizes, luxury cars and offers its members discounted products at retailers.
The car enthusiast made international headlines when he had a rare $3 million McLaren towed to his $39 million Melbourne penthouse in May last year.
He was also a regular on The Block, appearing on the show every year during auctions and regularly buying houses.
However, he announced that this year would be his final season on the renovation show, after making Block history by purchasing all the houses built on the series.
In 2022, he offered $4.8 million for Omar and Oz’s Gisborne South home during the final bid on The Block during his very first appearance on the show.
“I was pretty quiet at the time, so no one really knew what I was worth or how much money I had,” he said.
‘People thought I couldn’t afford the house. Of course I knew I could buy all the houses.’
Adrian grew up in Melbourne’s western suburbs and made his fortune through technology startups.

He has a diverse business portfolio reportedly worth $1 billion, and now turns over about $100 million a year, or $2 million a week.
The infamous Block bidder has spent a whopping $39 million for its property in Melbourne, the heart of the CBD, in a new twin-tower development.
He is currently spending $6 million modifying and customizing the 1,200-square-foot home.
The businessman told realestate.com.au he decided to buy the apartment the same day he saw it because of “the security” and because it was a “blank canvas”.
He also admitted that a selling point was the penthouse’s direct connection to the second tower, which will house a five-star Shangri-La hotel.
The hotel features a bar with a see-through floor and a bridge connecting the two high-level towers.
“I have a lift from my apartment that goes straight to the bar,” Adrian said.
Adrian, known for his high spending and lavish lifestyle, shares his ten-month-old son Mercy with girlfriend Karlie Butler.
The unique name pays tribute to one of the first luxury cars Adrian bought: a rare orange Lamborghini Murcielago valued at over $700,000.
Adrian and Karlie have been together for over a year and met at a bar.
