Adrian ‘Lambo Guy’ Portelli hits back at ‘wild accusations’ after couple complained about their $4.25million house win
A young wealthy Lister known as ‘Lambo Guy’ has lashed out at ‘wild accusations’ after a couple complained about missing furniture from a $4.25 million home they won through his giveaway.
A bitter quarrel has started between them Victorian couple Kevin and Andrea Griffin and Adrian Portelli after winning the Victorian-style home outside Gisborne, north of Melbourne’s CBD.
The couple had joined Portelli’s LMCT Plus just over 18 months earlier in hopes of receiving one of the many “giveaways” the subscription company offers.
Subscribers take part in exclusive competitions, with prizes for houses, bicycles, cars and boats, among other things, and they also receive offers from car companies.
Adrian Portelli is worth an estimated $7 billion but is in a bitter feud with a Victorian couple over a house they won through his giveaway
The house the Griffins won was renovated on Channel Nine’s TV show The Block and advertised in a promotional video.
The couple alleged that Portelli removed more than $100,000 worth of luxury items from the home before handing them the keys.
The businessman hit back, claiming the goods were not included with the house as per the terms and conditions.
“No matter what you do, someone will say something negative,” Portelli told the newspaper Australian Financial Statement.
‘First it was that I couldn’t afford it (The Block House), now it’s other wild accusations.
“I’m just here to do my thing, live my own life, and I’m not projecting onto anyone else’s life.”
Portelli, 34, ranks seventh on this year’s Financial Review Young Rich List, with an estimated net worth of $1 billion.
Despite his vast wealth and flashy lifestyle, Portelli claims he is actually “very shy” and lives a “basic life.”
But his actions after giving away The Block House have angered the Griffins, who are unwilling to back down.
Andrea and Kevin Griffin couldn’t believe their luck when they won a dream home. They remain confused as to why Adrian Portelli felt the need to remove and then raffle items they thought were theirs
CCTV captured Mr Portelli and his family and friends removing some items in the house before handing over the keys.
In recent weeks, the removal of those items has turned into a public feud between the businessman and the Griffins.
Ms Griffin told Daily Mail Australia that all publicity for the giveaway stated that everything was included, including $170,000 worth of Smeg appliances and $50,000 worth of wine.
Although grateful for the dream home they had won, the family was disappointed that the items had been removed while they were under the impression that Mr Portelli’s crew was ‘cleaning’ the house in anticipation of their arrival.
‘We are anything but ungrateful and we have always said so. We even stop at the gate now, look up and say, “Wow, that’s our house.” For example, we own that house. We are so grateful that the dice rolled our way,” Ms. Griffin said.

“They said that under the terms and conditions (Portelli) had the right to take whatever he wanted from the house. We kept asking for these terms but they never arrived.
“The only terms we have seen or are available are for another draw, not for The Block House.”
Mr Portelli claims he was entitled to everything he took from the property, despite announcing that the lottery would come with the very items he helped remove.
‘The terms and conditions for each competition held on our client’s website are clearly displayed to all participants, ensuring transparency and mutual understanding of the rules and expectations involved. Furniture is clearly not included,” Portelli told Daily Mail Australia in a statement.
