Adrian ‘Lambo Guy’ Portelli hits back after video showed him ‘stripping $100,000 worth of goods’ from multimillion dollar The Block house before it was handed over to its new owners

Adrian ‘Lambo Guy’ Portelli has hit out at allegations he stole $100,000 worth of goods from a home featured on The Block.

The property investor, known for his flamboyant style and love of luxury cars, claimed to have bought the home in Gisborne, 54 kilometers north-west of Melbourne, for $4.25 million in November last year after it was was auctioned off on the reality TV series.

He then ‘sold’ it to the Griffin family via a gift through his lottery company, LMCT+.

CCTV taken the day after the property was sold shows Portelli and a group of men taking items from the house, including wine, a toolbox, a meat smoker, treadmills, kitchen equipment and a juicer.

Portelli claimed in a video posted online that the items taken by him and his team in the clip ‘were not part of the gifts’.

“It was just part of the show, it wasn’t on our terms and conditions,” he said.

‘Our T’s and C’s say this is a fully furnished house which we have delivered.’

Prize winner and homeowner Kevin Griffin and his wife Andrea saw the vision of Portelli and the other men taking the goods after going through the security camera footage.

The couple discovered there were items missing after they moved from Ballarat to their ‘dream home’.

“We were like, what the hell?” Mrs. Griffin told him Herald Sun.

‘Why did he do that?’

The couple had paid a $20-a-month membership to Portelli’s business, LMCT+, for more than a year before acquiring the home through a gift.

LMCT+, which Portelli founded in 2018, sells subscriptions that cost up to $100 a month.

Subscribers take part in exclusive competitions, with prizes including houses, bikes, cars and boats, and receive offers from motor vehicle businesses.

“Whatever I do with these things is up to me. Wherever I want to use them personally or I want to use them to stage future gift houses, who bloody cares,’ said Portelli.

Portelli claimed he had been sent abusive and threatening messages labeling him and his team ‘thieves’ as a result of posting the vision online.

He said that legal papers have also been issued to him.

He then played “behind-the-scenes footage” of the Griffins inspecting the house, where they seem nervous because of the excessive bugs inside the property.

Portelli also showed a screenshot of a website domain titled ‘ONAJ LMCT PLUS NIGHTMARE’ that he said was purchased by the Griffins and sent to him.

“Unfortunately, it’s people like that who ruin it for everyone and it makes us not want to do things like that anymore,” added Portelli.

This comes as Portelli’s business, LMCT+, is being investigated in two states over allegations it broke gambling laws.

South Australia’s Consumer and Business Services and the Victorian Gambling and Casino Control Commission have each received complaints about LMCT+ and are investigating.
