An adorable toddler has just discovered her own shadow and is causing hilarity among her family after she tries to run away from her shadow.
Elliana Tsegaye from New Hampshire, USA, was captured on camera when she first noticed her shadow and hilariously tried to escape from it.
Going on TikTok @theafrolatinfamilia The girl’s parents saw the funny side of their daughter’s new fear and shared the clip online, where it has now been viewed 7.6 million times.
The clip shows the two-year-old girl seeing her own shadow for the first time, and she immediately tries to run away and hide from it.
When the frightened child could not shake off the dark figure, she immediately fell to the ground and burst into tears.

We hear Ellie’s father comforting his daughter with the words, “It’s okay, it’s your shadow, it’s just you.”
The toddler got up again and tried to run again, but her shadow remained on her tail.
The girl’s mother picked her up and tried to explain. She said, “It’s okay, look, look at mommy and look at Ellie,” as she pointed to their shadows.
But even though they tried to explain, the cute little child still didn’t understand and still seemed terrified of the dark figure.
Elsewhere in the clip, Ellie is seen being afraid of her shadow for a few more weeks.
