Adorable moment royal guard inspects little fan in his own miniature uniform and bearskin – before excited lad marches with them (and struggles to keep up)

This is the heartwarming moment two royal guards made a rare break in protocol to greet a little fan wearing his own miniature uniform and bearskin.

Little Frank, who has gained a huge following on social media for his adorable videos where he dresses up in different soldier outfits, couldn’t believe his luck when two guards stopped to talk to him at the Tower of London.

Footage shows the little boy standing at attention as guards walk across the cobbled grounds. When they see him, they march up to him and greet him before engaging in conversation.

As Frank greets back, one of the guards says: ‘Good evening young man, how are you? I look very smart today.’

He then compliments Frank on his shiny shoes and tells him he ‘did well’. Frank and the guards then greet each other again before marching away.

At one point he turns to his father and says, “Daddy, did you see him greet me?”

The military is known to adopt an expressionless posture as they are generally not allowed to communicate with members of the public.

They can even be fined £200 if they laugh or smile and have to work in all weather conditions.

The child watched in awe as he watched the soldiers march past him in unison.

A heartwarming video filmed by his father shows the moment Frank stood up and saluted the soldiers before someone in the back exchanged a respectful nod with the little boy.

Frank is so happy that he appears to be in disbelief for a moment before giving the camera a thumbs up.
