This is the adorable moment a dog refused to eat its food until its owner grabbed its paw and said mercy.
Gamer and content creator Haley Buckland, who graduated from Georgia Gwinnett College last year, got to work TikTok to share the sweet moment her dog declined his meal until the two prayed together.
In the video, the four-legged cutie was seen moving closer to the snack, but then pulling away while looking sheepishly into Haley’s eyes.
The influencer, 25, explained that her dog wouldn’t eat the food until she recited the famous “God is great, God is good” prayer, after which she did so and the dog happily gobbled it down.
Viewers were left fascinated by the pious dog, with many claiming his behavior was the reason behind the saying ‘all dogs go to heaven’.

The video opened with the caption, “Your dog won’t eat unless you say a prayer.”
Hayley and her dog are seen in what appears to be a kitchen, as she commands her pet to ‘go eat’ his food: ‘Go, go! You can eat it,” she said.
While the dog at first walked towards his food with wonderful excitement, he later stopped halfway and looked back at Hayley, locking her in with a mysterious look.
Although she continued to encourage the dog to ‘eat him’, it only took a few steps before she turned back and offered another dejected look.
“Eat it, it’s just a snack,” she continued. ‘You can eat it. To go! Oh my God!’
At that point, the dog was close to his meal, but he refused to start eating, forcing Hayley to give in.
The best moment then occurred when she said “okay, come on,” signaling the pet to extend its paw toward her foot, presumably in preparation for prayer.
The dog placed its paw on Hayley’s foot as she told Grace, “God is good, God is great,” she began.

‘Let us thank Him for our food. By His hands we are all nourished. Thank you Lord for our daily bread, amen’.
The dog skipped happily to his waiting meal and gobbled it down in one gulp.
The video – which has been viewed almost 8 million times – has left social users in awe, with many of them praising the dog for its apparently religious nature.
One person wrote: ‘They say all dogs go to heaven so he makes sure his place is safe.’
Another agreed: “This is why dogs go to heaven.”

“Bro said you wouldn’t get him in trouble with the Lord,” one joked.
“Now that’s God’s dog, okay,” said another.
Meanwhile, someone wanted to train his dog in the same way: ‘No, how do I teach my dog that?’ they asked.
For naysayers who thought the video was a fluke, Hayley explained that the same thing happened when her dog was with a sitter.
She said: ‘When he was in a dog hotel they told me he wasn’t eating. I had to tell them to pray and then he would eat [they say] “Amen” and it worked!”
