Adele fans have started scrambling for tickets after discovering that there are already 270,000 people ahead of them in the electronic queue for her upcoming concert.

Tickets for the singer’s upcoming Munich Tour went on sale yesterday, but thousands were already queuing shortly after sales opened.

The popular singer-songwriter has already added four additional dates due to high demand for her shows in August, making ten in total.

Fans went wild in the comments section, saying they were ‘ready for war’ in an attempt to get tickets.

The shows are the first European dates she has done since 2016, with many urging the singer to embark on a world tour.

Adele, who is currently performing weekly in a Las Vegas residency, will take to the stage in Europe on August 2, 3, 9, 10, 14, 16, 23, 24, 30 and 31 August 2024.

The singer – known for her hit songs such as Rolling in the Deep, Nobody Like You and Set Fire To The Rain – will perform in an open-air environment created exclusively for the special shows.

The custom-built arena will feature a combination of seating and standing seating with a capacity of 80,000 people per night.

Announcing the news on Instagram last Wednesday, Adele told her fans: ‘So a few months ago I got a call about a series of summer shows. I’ve been extremely happy with my shows in London’s Hyde Park and my residency in Vegas, so I had no other plans.”

‘However, I was too curious not to pursue this idea: a one-off, tailor-made pop-up stadium, designed around the show I want to give? Ohhh!? Virtually a blow in the middle of Europe? In Munich?’

‘That’s a bit random, but fantastic nonetheless! Immediately after the euro? Come on England! With the Olympic Games next door? Go ahead Simone! And some of my favorite artists playing shows too? Why yes!!’

‘I haven’t played in Europe since 2016! I couldn’t think of a better way to spend my summer and end this beautiful phase of my life and career with shows closer to home during such an exciting summer. Guten Tag babes x.’

But frustrated fans took to social media to express their disappointment when they found more than 270,000 people queuing shortly after the sale opened.

By the end of its run, Adele will have played a whopping 50 Weekends With Adele dates (100 shows in total). She also thrilled her British audiences at her sold-out London Hyde Park shows in 2022.

Last week, the singer confirmed that she plans to embark on a new world tour after the release of her next album, but admitted that wouldn’t happen anytime soon.

Her Weekends with Adele residency at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace will end in June 2024, freeing up her schedule.

During her show on Saturday, Adele said she would like to tour her next album, but also admitted that she hadn’t thought about writing the new record for a while.

Her last album was 30, released in 2021 to huge commercial and critical success, winning British Album of the Year at the 2022 Brit Awards and becoming the best-selling album of the year.

Adele is currently performing the final leg of her critically acclaimed Weekends With Adele residency in Las Vegas, which runs until mid-June.

Consisting of performances on Friday and Saturday nights at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace, she will have performed a total of 50 dates and 100 shows by the end of the series.

The residency reportedly earned her as much as $1 million per show, with the New York Post claiming that her extended run earned her around $2 million per show and a guaranteed $105 million overall.

The publication also claimed that her deal includes a 5 percent sweetener if ticket sales minus fees exceed her overnight windfall.

Moreover, Adele has sneakily made a deal where she gets a whopping 50 percent discount on the merchandise.

The merchandise includes Rolling in the Deep sweatshirts for $110 each, as well as a bottle of wine, necklaces that say “divorced,” socks with glasses of wine on them and even Adele brand tissues.

The venue has a capacity of around 4,200 people and tickets are valued at $16,940 (£12,460).

Adele is also said to be on track to become the artist who earns the most per show in Vegas history.
