Adele previously underwent surgery on her vocal cords in 2011.

Dr. Steven Zeitels, whose patients include Julie Andrews, Lionel Richie and Roger Daltrey, treated Adele in late 2011 after a vocal cord injury caused her to lose her voice.

In a two-hour operation, he used microsurgical instruments and a laser to remove a polyp and repair a burst blood vessel with skills he says are the result of a teenage passion for sewing leather bags.
