Adele has an Emmy, multiple Grammys and an Oscar, and only needs a Tony Award to complete her EGOT.
But in an interview with Broadway World to promote her latest single I Drink Wine, the 34-year-old platinum-selling singer revealed that she is not very familiar with the world of theater.
“I can’t lie guys, I’m not a big Broadway fan,” admitted the Easy on Me performer.

‘I know. However, I’m talking about musicals because I’ve seen a few plays, but I don’t think I’ve seen enough.’
However, there is one role that could lure her into the limelight: Mama Rose in the musical Gypsy.
‘I saw [Gypsy] in London and I loved the mother’s role in it. She has a song when she said “I wanted to do all this”, and she’s jealous of her own daughter and she’s really into it. At one point she was just ab***h what I could do,’ she claimed with a smile, adding, ‘But never say never.’

Mama Rose: Adele said that if there’s one role that could lure her to the stage, it’s Gypsy’s Mama Rose, but said her friend, Bette Midler, who starred in a 1993 TV movie, told her said she would “never be able to stay.” with the schedule on Broadway’
However, her friend Bette Midler, 76, who starred in the role in a 1993 TV movie, advised the hitmaker that working in a musical every day may not be the right move.
‘[Bette] was like, “You’d never be able to keep up with the schedule on Broadway.”‘
The superstar, who joked that she liked EGO’s sound better than EGOT, agreed with her friend and confessed, “Because I’m so lazy. I’m so notoriously lazy… I couldn’t do matinees and stuff. I don’t have the stamina for that.’
