Adele is ‘taking lessons’ as she plots new career move after announcing ‘incredibly long’ break from music

After wrapping up her multi-million dollar residency in Munich last week, Adele announced she was taking an “incredibly long” break. She has not said anything about her future career plans, however.

However, sources have now reported what the Grammy-winning artist is planning, and it could have something to do with the big screen.

“I just need some rest. I’ve spent the last seven years building a new life for myself and I want to do that now,” the 36-year-old told fans.

According to a source, Adele, 36, who has an estimated net worth of $220 million, is preparing to trade the stage for the screen as she takes a break from singing.

“Adele has been taking intensive acting lessons with a top Hollywood coach for over a year,” a source told DailyMail.com.

“When she puts her mind to something, she puts 100 percent into it,” they added.

After wrapping up her multi-million dollar residency in Munich last week, Adele revealed she will be taking an ‘incredibly long’ break – but she has remained tight-lipped about her next career plans

The source claimed that the When We Were Young singer has “instructed” her team to “announce” to major film studios and producers that she is ready, and that they are already in talks about a number of projects for her.

“A reliable Hollywood source has advised her to take dialect lessons, if she hasn’t already, as her natural Cockney accent will significantly limit her roles,” the source added.

Another source stated that Adele “will” eventually return to touring, residencies and music and that when she does, “everyone will know about it.”

“There’s even talk that if she comes back, she might even perform at the Super Bowl,” they teased.

It’s not the first time the singer has considered a film career.

In December 2023, in an interview with The Hollywood ReporterThe Chasing Pavements singer hinted at her desire to break into Hollywood, saying she wants to make one film, but the writer isn’t “mentally ready” to write the script.

“I tease him about it every now and then, but he’s just not ready for it yet,” she said at the time.

“But that’s the only role I ever want. Because I think I would nail it. I think I would do it really, really, really well,” she cheered.

The singer, who is in a relationship with sports agent Rich Paul, says she gets offered roles in biopics of singers “all the time” but finds them “too obvious.”

“And anyone who is great enough to be the subject of a biopic is just setting themselves up for disaster,” she noted.

“Would they want me to sing as myself? Because then it would sound like me, it wouldn’t sound like them. So I wouldn’t do it. But that’s really all I’ve been offered.”

In a radio interview in July, she said that after her residencies she wanted to focus on her family and “other creative things.”

“I don’t have any plans for new music,” she said. “I want to get a big break after this and I think I want to do other creative things, but for a little while.”

She is reportedly planning to move to the UK later this year, where she has a luxury apartment in central London, as she plans to raise her son Angelo there.
