Shocking moment a cyclist steals a shopping bag from an elderly woman walking down the street before dragging her across the pavement
A grandmother who was robbed by a cyclist in broad daylight and dragged down the street is now too scared to leave her house alone.
Anh Huynh, 84, was tackled by a cyclist as she walked along Thanet Street in Brooklyn Park, Adelaide, around midday on October 25.
Shocking footage showed the man cycling behind Ms Huynh and snatching the bag from her hand.
She was then knocked to the ground and dragged along the sidewalk as she tried to hold on.
The bag fell to the sidewalk and while Mrs. Huynh lay writhing on the ground in pain, the man returned a second time to search the items.
The cyclist then ran off with the bag, after which the police started a manhunt.
A nearby tradie, Jesse Martin, saw the robbery taking place and helped Ms. Huynh to her feet and escorted her home.
“She was upset and probably had a concussion, she was a bit wobbly on her feet,” Mr Martin said. told 9News.

Ms Huynh thanked Mr Martin for his help but told the publication she was now afraid to leave the house alone and was also hesitant to catch the bus.
She was left battered and bruised, including a lump in her head, but says she is now ‘okay’.
The police are actively looking for the thief who they say has striking tattoos on his arms.
Mr Martin estimated the man was probably between 45 and 50 years old.
“I was a little shocked that someone of that age and maturity could do something like that,” he said.
