A young biker killed in a horror crash is remembered as the “life of the party” by the devastated family and friends.
Alek ‘Tucka’ Henschke crashed his Yamaha motorcycle into four stationary cars on Port Road near Thebarton, north Adelaide, on Friday.
The 23-year-old was thrown from his bicycle when it hit the cars stopped at a red light at the James Congdon Drive intersection.
Alek ‘Tucka’ Henschke is remembered by family and friends as a loyal and kind friend after his life was tragically cut short by a motorcycle accident
A witness in one of the cars said she believed Henschke cut through a vehicle at high speed and then ricocheted off three others, including her own vehicle.
He was taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital in critical condition but died a short time later.
Family and friends have remembered Henschke as a “wonderful friend” who “was the linchpin of the party” and whom he will never forget.
“I am literally speechless. I still can’t believe you’re gone,” a friend wrote on Facebook.
“In such a short time you became one of the best friends anyone could wish for. I sat in your room today waiting for you to come home in disbelief.
Rest in peace bro, forever missed but never forgotten. I love your brother.’
Another said, “RIP Tucka Henschke. Thank you for all the great times we had, they will not be forgotten. Always the life of the party. Fly high buddy.’
A third friend said he would live on in their hearts forever.
He was described by another as one of the “toughest, kindest, and most extraordinary people I could ever know.”
His brother Kamryn said Alek was a great sibling who would be sorely missed.
“He was like, ‘Blood is blood, don’t forget that. You’re the most important thing to me,'” he told Channel Seven.
“It was great to see so many people come out and give their love (for him).”
According to a witness, Henschke’s bicycle collided with a car waiting at traffic lights and crashed into three other vehicles
