The heartbroken housemate of a young woman killed in a horror collision between a car and a school bus has been remembered as a “beautiful angel” and “cherished soul” who had plans to travel the world.
Chloe Emma Glasson was a passenger in a Ford sedan that collided with a Fuso bus at the intersection of Mallala Road and Navvy Hill Road in Korunye, north Adelaide, on Friday morning.
The ‘outgoing’ and ‘hard-working’ 23-year-old could not be revived at the scene.
Ms Glasson’s tragic death led to an outpouring of tributes led by housemate Jai Matter-Hedges.
He first met Ms Glasson when they worked together at Coles in 2021 and moved in with some other friends shortly afterwards.
The group spent most of 2022 and 2023 together, with Mr Matter-Hedges crediting his newfound positivity to his late friend.

‘My first impression was that Chloe was a very outgoing, hardworking girl with a smart and positive attitude day in and day out. And she was laughing happily,” Mr Matter-Hedges told the newspaper Adelaide Advertiser on Sunday.
‘She once told me, “Happiness can be found anywhere, you just have to go out and find it.”
“She is one of the most precious souls I have (met) in my life. I’ll never forget her.’
He remembered Mrs. Glasson as someone who went out of her way to make sure everyone was taken care of, often footing the bill to put food on the table for housemates with little money.
Mr Matter-Hedges added that she “made the best potato cake ever.”
Mrs. Glasson was an adventurous spirit and had hoped to travel the world.
Another friend, Meegan Kelly, shared a tribute to Ms Glasson online, describing her as the ‘most beautiful, kind-hearted person I have ever met’.
“I am devastated to hear that you are now a beautiful angel in the sky,” she said.
“I’ll still remember our car ride home, talking about how long our nails had grown and our random banter about life.
“To my noodle-loving friend, rest assured, until we meet again.”
Other loved ones said they “still can’t believe” Mrs Glasson died and told her to “fly high, fly free”.
Many friends left floral tributes at the scene of the accident.
The driver of the sedan, a 22-year-old Freeling man, and a second passenger, a 19-year-old woman from Davoren Park, were flown to Adelaide Hospital for treatment.

The 19-year-old was treated for serious injuries.
The bus was hit on the side by the sedan and both vehicles subsequently rolled over.
It is understood the 24-seater was on its normal school run and was due to pick up students 10 minutes after the accident.
The driver and sole occupant, a 36-year-old man from Pooraka, was taken to Lyell McEwin Hospital with minor injuries.
The bus driver’s pregnant partner rushed to the scene as soon as she heard the news.
“He’s doing well, I think he’s in shock, he’s obviously in hospital,” Kanga Coachlines spokesperson Julian Roeger told 7News.
“She’s there to support him, just like us, so we’ll support him, we’ll support her and the family.”
