Tragedy as horror house fire kills woman and her sister hospitalized when neighbors remember hearing a ‘massive bang’ and terrifying screams

Distressed neighbors recall hearing harrowing cries from a burning house before a woman’s body was found inside.
Emergency services rushed to the home in Angle Park in north-west Adelaide around 2:30 p.m. on Friday, where they found the home engulfed in flames.
Witnesses managed to rescue one woman from the house, but another, reportedly her sister, was trapped inside the house.
The surviving woman was taken to Royal Adelaide Hospital with minor injuries. She is reportedly helping the police with investigations.
Her sister’s remains were tragically found in the home after Metropolitan Fire Service fire crews extinguished the fire.

No others were wanted in connection with the case, police said.
Startled neighbors said they heard screams from inside as the fire broke out.
“I was sitting at my computer and heard screaming and yelling,” one resident said Nine News.
“Then smoke came into the house and I thought ‘what the hell is going on?’.”
Neighbor Stasie Leonard ran outside after she smelled smoke and heard a “huge bang.”
“I saw smoke and heard another bang,” she said. “Flames shot out the window.”
Other neighbors grabbed their hoses to try and put out the fire.
“Someone went, ‘there’s someone else in there,'” she said.
“It’s just been chaos, it’s been awful.”
“One of the people was in there (the police van) just screaming. It’s tragic.’
The cause of the fire has not been determined, but the Metropolitan Fire Service believes it started in the front room of the house (pictured, police officers on scene)
The Metropolitan Fire Service believes the fire started in the home’s front room, the ABC reports.
“On arrival, 14 firefighters from three fire trucks and a command vehicle found a fire in the front room,” said a spokeswoman for MFS.
‘[It] took 20 minutes to get the fire under control, and another 20 minutes to put it out.”
The cause of the fire is still unknown, but damage is estimated at $100,000.
