Jess, a resident of South Australia, thought she had found the perfect property on Old Sarum Road in Elizabeth North, Adelaide.

The three-bedroom, one-bathroom property was priced at $169,000 and was tagged “upper for repair” on its listing.

“I can’t really afford anything, but I look at this house and I’m like, ‘Wow, this is so cheap.’ I can actually do this,’ he said on a TikTok.

The interior of the house has been completely destroyed by a fire and the flames have torn the paint off the kitchen walls.

The cabinets were broken while a pile of old and dirty dishes were inside the sink.

The living room appears untouched by the fire, but its white walls are discolored by the rubbish piled on the furniture.

Trash covered the floors in every room while the backyard was overrun with tall grass and brush with trash strewn across it.

The real estate agent warned that the house “will need repairs,” but said the $169,000 price factored in the damage.
