A potential homebuyer has revealed her surprise after finding her dream home for sale and then discovering the horrors within.
Jess, a resident of South Australia, thought she had found the perfect property on Old Sarum Road in Elizabeth North, Adelaide.
The three-bedroom, one-bathroom property was priced at $169,000 and was tagged “upper for repair” on its listing.
A homebuyer has revealed her shock after finding her dream home for sale and then discovering the horrors within it.
Jess admitted that the house looked like it needed a bit of work on the outside, but she had no idea how much worse it looked on the inside.
“I can’t really afford anything, but I look at this house and I’m like, ‘Wow, this is so cheap.’ I can actually do this,’ he said on a TikTok.
‘Paint the fence, the grass seeds, the plants and the flowers… I could do this.’
The interior of the house has been completely destroyed by a fire and the flames have torn the paint off the kitchen walls.
The cabinets were broken while a pile of old and dirty dishes were inside the sink.
The living room appears untouched by the fire, but its white walls are discolored by the rubbish piled on the furniture.
Trash covered the floors in every room while the backyard was overrun with tall grass and brush with trash strewn across it.
Jess was absolutely shocked to see the house in ruins.
“There are no words,” he said in the video.

Jess said that she was looking for a house and that she ‘wanted to own it’ and that her dream had come true when she found the house for sale.
The listing revealed that the home had “fire damage to the rear” and the fire started in the front porch and laundry area.
The real estate agent warned that the house “will need repairs,” but said the $169,000 price factored in the damage.
“However, it is priced to offset the work required to restore the home to good condition,” the listing said.
