Adam Moore: Police under fire after wanted father-of-two is killed in horror motorcycle crash – as it’s revealed he sped off after running a red light in front of cops
A father-of-two was killed when his motorcycle crashed into a parked truck just moments after police tried to pull him over.
Adam Moore, 38, had run a red light at the intersection of Maxwell Avenue and Elizabeth Drive on Mount Pritchard in Sydney’s south-west at 12.10am on Thursday.
Mr Moore, who had a warrant out for his arrest for a previous traffic offence, then crossed onto the wrong side of the road when a police officer turned on his lights and sirens.
For safety reasons, the police officer did not pursue the father, Assistant Commissioner Stuart Smith said.
The officer continued to patrol the area and was notified of an incident by a member of the public at the nearby intersection of Dartford and Horton Street.

“The same officer) continued to patrol the area… where he encountered a motorcyclist who we believe had collided with a parked truck,” Mr Smith said.
“The male individual, who we believe was the rider, was pronounced dead at the scene.”
The officer administered first aid and called an ambulance.
Police have launched a critical incident investigation and the circumstances surrounding the accident will be investigated.
The investigation will be independently reviewed and a report prepared for the coroner.

One of Mr Moore’s four brothers, Ben Moore, visited the scene on Thursday and told the story Nine news Adam was the ‘best brother’.
‘He will be sadly missed. He was just a good guy. He loved everyone, everyone loved him,” he said.
His brother also said the married father-of-two was ‘wanted’ by police.
Mr Smith confirmed that this was the case and that it was related to driving costs.
