The husband of a Byron Bay wedding planner who was responsible for organizing Margot Robbie’s wedding has been charged with grooming a child.

Wedding celebrant Adam Magnus, 62, from Lennox Head, near Byron Bay, was arrested by police child exploitation investigators in March and charged at Ballina police station with up to 10 offences.

These included grooming an 11-year-old girl by exposing her to indecent material to “facilitate the procuring of the child for unlawful sexual activity”, according to the Sydney Morning Herald.

Now it can be revealed that his wedding planner wife Jane, who prides herself on organizing ‘rock star parties’ through her Byron Bay Luxury Weddings business, has posted a series of cryptic messages in the months following her husband’s arrest and first court appearance in court.

“Thank you to the people who care and cheer me up along the way, I’m so grateful,” she wrote.

“And for those trying to take me down, you’re out of my orbit now.”

She added, “Remember, you never know what’s going to happen in someone’s life, so always be kind.”

Mrs. Magnus is not accused of any wrongdoing and there is no indication that she was aware of her husband’s alleged crimes.

The couple, who have four adult children together, first met while working on a failed restaurant project, which later led to the wedding events business.

Adam Magnus, who has been in custody without being denied bail since his arrest in March, has worked as a wedding celebrant for more than a decade.

He described himself as a “true all-rounder” in a Facebook post in June 2020 in which he praised his “beautiful wife Jane.”

“You may know her, she’s a bit of a legend in the wedding industry and together I think we make a great team,” he wrote.

The pair worked together at the wedding of designer Dan Single and his supermodel wife Stephanie ‘Bambi’ Northwood-Blythe in 2014, with Jane planning the big day and Adam acting as celebrant.

When Single and Northwood-Blythe later split, it was the Magnuses who broke the news to Daily Mail Australia.

Arguably the highlight of Ms Magnus’ career came when she was given responsibility for organizing the intimate wedding of Hollywood A-lister Margot Robbie and producer Tom Ackerley in 2016 at the Coorabella estate. Magnus was not the celebrant.

‘It was very authentic, fun and family-friendly. They had a little marquee set up for the ceremony,” Ms Magnus told Daily Mail Australia on the couple’s one-year anniversary.

‘It was very simple. She’s a beautiful lady, so it doesn’t take much.”

Mrs Magnus revealed that although the wedding was subdued and stylish, Robbie’s love of Coco Pops meant they were served with whole milk at dessert.

In the interview she said she works with budgets starting at $50,000.

Daily Mail Australia approached Ms Magnus for comment.

Her husband’s case has been postponed until October.

The husband-and-wife couple (pictured) also worked together at the wedding of designer Dan Single and his supermodel wife Stephanie 'Bambi' Northwood-Blythe in 2014, with Jane planning the big day and Adam acting as celebrant.
