In 2019, Levine opened up about his decision to leave The Voice after nearly a decade on the competition television series.

The father of three continued: “I do miss it, but I don’t miss how much I had to work either. I just worked constantly for so many years. “I’m very lucky, very happy and blessed and all that I can put down right now to spend time with my new young family.”

“Now I’m like a stay-at-home mom, where I stay home and do very little,” he mused.

At the time, he reportedly walked away from about $30 million to stay on the program.

Sources said The Hollywood Reporter that his contract was for two additional seasons for approximately $30 million, as he had earned approximately $14 million for his final season on the series.

Insiders told the publication that Levine has been “increasingly anxious” about leaving the series in recent weeks, noting that The Voice’s shooting schedule has been a meandering one between tapings and live shows.
