Adam Hunter: A third tragic death hits the AFL in just two days as footy great dies aged just 43

The AFL is startled by another tragedy with the smell news that West Coast Eagles Premiership winner Adam Hunter died at the age of 43.

Hunter’s body was found in the early hours of Wednesday morning in Bunbury, West -Australia, where he grew up and lived with retired.

He played 151 games for the club in a career that lasted from 2000 to 2009, and played in the side that won the Grand Final of 2006 and set the goal that the game won.

Hunter was forced out of the game by injury after he was originally selected as the 29th choice in the 1999 design.

He played for South Bunbury for the first time before he played with Swan Districts in the WAFL in 1999.

The death of Hunter only comes a day after former Brisbane Lions star Troy Selwood – the brother of Cats Champion Joel – was found dead in his 40 years old Geelong -Huis.

On Tuesday it was also revealed that the VFL coach Dale van Essendon – who also worked with the Lions – had lost his battle with blood cancer. He was only 59.
