Adam Driver was unrecognizable when he disappeared in character on the Italian set of his upcoming film Ferrari.
The 38-year-old movie star plays car magnate Enzo Ferrari, the founder of the globally beloved luxury car brand that bears his name.
He was spotted filming a scene in a square in Modena, Enzo’s northern Italian hometown, where he first set up his workshops.
There he goes: Adam Driver was totally unrecognizable when he disappeared in character on the Italian set of his upcoming movie Ferrari
Adam plays a white-haired Enzo on the brink of his 60th birthday, the time when he was known as ‘il Grande Vecchio’ – ‘the great old man’.
In his early years, when he became a pioneering businessman after a career as a race car driver, he was known as ‘il Commendatore’ – ‘the commander’.
But in this scene, he appeared as an elderly gentleman, still looking neat in a perfectly tailored three-piece suit, but walking a little sloppy.
His Enzo was seen strolling across the square to a florist’s stall, where he appeared to be buying a bouquet.

The film sees Enzo grappling with issues in his personal life as the Mille Miglia – an iconic Italian car race – approaches.
Enzo’s son Dino, who would succeed him as head of the family business, had died of muscular dystrophy a year earlier.
Called simply Ferrari, the film is written and directed by Michael Man, whose work includes films such as The Last Of The Mohicans, Heat, and Public Enemies.
Adam leads an all-star cast with Penelope Cruz as Enzo’s wife Laura, to whom he was notoriously unfaithful throughout his life.

Shailene Woodley plays Enzo’s longtime mistress Lina Lardi, the mother of his son Piero, who is now vice president of Ferrari.
A trio of hunks are cast as drivers – Patrick Dempsey as Piero Taruffi, Gabriel Leone as Alfonso de Portago and Jack O’Connell as Peter Collins.
The film, which has been shooting in Italy since mid-August, is slated for release sometime in the latter part of 2023.
Adam is no stranger to playing dynastic Italian business magnates, having caused a furore last year playing Maurizio Gucci opposite Lady Gaga in House Of Gucci.
