Shane’s daughter Brooke denounced the network for being “beyond disrespectful,” but talks have since been held between his family and producers and the series continues.
The cricketing family gets to see the three-part mini-series for the public, The Announce sun has reported.
According to the publication, a private screening will be held for the family before its public showing, but they have no editorial control over the miniseries.
Shane’s longtime manager James Erskine said he and his family were confident the docuseries would be respectful after several meetings with producers.

Just six months after his death, the network confirmed it was producing a two-part miniseries about Warne’s life, but it was reported that production on the series began just three weeks after his death.
The miniseries, titled Warnie, will air during The Ashes on 9.
Actor Alex William, who stars in the drama, said it is very ‘high pressure’ to play the role of the cricketing legend.
“I felt a lot of pressure, probably the most pressure I’ve felt when taking on a role,” Alex told The Herald Sun.

“Of course there’s a lot of pressure, but I grew up loving Warnie, watching him on TV and seeing the magic he performed on the pitch, and that motivated me to work as hard as I ever have to to make it. making sure I did everything I could to give people an insight into his life that they might not have had and to recreate a lot of things they already knew about him and get that right.”
The program was recorded in Melbourne late last year, just months after the cricketer died.
While the miniseries will cover some of the scandalous parts of his life, such as the breakdown of his marriage to Simone Callahan, the actor said it also taps into the magical moments of Shane’s life.
He said: “I think there are some really nice moments in it that give insight into his life and it’s also a fun trip down memory lane for a lot of people.”
