Actor Tom Hollander has first baby aged 55 – after he and his ex-fiance rekindle their romance in lockdown
Actor Tom Hollander becomes a father for the first time at age 55 after rekindling his romance with interior designer Fran Hickman.
The Mail on Sunday can reveal that the star of The Night Manager is ‘extremely excited’ that Ms Hickman, 39, is expecting their first baby, expected in a matter of weeks.
Their news comes after they got back together during lockdown, a decade after they called off their engagement in 2010.
Last week, the couple were spotted having lunch near Mr Hollander’s home in Notting Hill, west London. Mrs. Hickman was dressed in a plaid shirt, leggings, and a pair of white sneakers, and her bump was clearly visible.
Mr. Hollander, who will be 56 years old in three weeks, arrived by bicycle. An onlooker said, “They looked very much like the happy couple. Tom was often seen wrapping his arms around Fran.’

Ms Hickman moved into Mr Hollander’s £2 million flat during the pandemic and friends say ‘she never left’.
In 2021, Mr Hollander, whose six-foot height earned him the nickname ‘sex thimble’, was spotted dining with Ms Hickman at Mayfair restaurant Scott’s.
Friends have previously said they hoped the actor, who starred in BBC sitcom Rev and thriller The Night Manager, and played an English expatriate in Sky Atlantic drama The White Lotus, would propose to Ms Hickman, but it seems that he hasn’t yet. .

During his time away from Ms. Hickman, Mr. Hollander dated filmmaker Jemima Goldsmith in 2013, but that ended and she later dated comedian Russell Brand.
And in the early 2000s, he dated fashion designer and former model Daphne Guinness — the daughter of colleague and businessman Jonathan Guinness.
Mr Hollander gave a candid insight into his life in 2020, when an article he wrote for The Sunday Times went viral just after he and Ms Hickman got back together.
He was praised for his honest confessions, including late-night toilet visits. He wrote, “I wake up at 3 or 4 am. Not because I’m like Mrs Thatcher, but because I have to pee. I pee in the dark and use my phone screen to illuminate the target.”
