Actor Rupert Everett has cast doubt on Prince Harry’s claims that he lost his virginity in a field behind a pub.
The prince shared in graphic detail his recollection of his first time in his memoir, Spare, revealing that he was “studded” by an older woman in a “grassy field behind a busy pub”.
While he did not specify which pub, many assumed he was referring to the Rattlebone Inn in Wiltshire, his former home turf when he was 17 in 2001.
But Everett told him The Telegraph Magazine that is not the case, claiming that he knows the identity of the woman involved.

Actor Rupert Everett has cast doubt on Prince Harry’s claims that he lost his virginity in a field behind a pub.
He said: ‘I know who the woman he lost his virginity to is.’ And she wasn’t behind a pub. And he was not in this country.
‘I’m just saying I know.’
Everett offered no further details about the quote, with a source close to Prince Harry telling the publication: “Amazing that he knew such a personal detail better than Prince Harry himself.”
Since then, a number of women linked to Harry have denied that he was referring to them, including former model Suzannah Harvey, 44, and interior designer Catherine Ommanney, 51.
Liz Hurley was also ruled out.
Miss Harvey has sought to distance herself from the brief encounter after previously admitting to ‘passionately kissing’ the prince in a muddy field as a 23-year-old after a Yule Ball earlier that year.
Miss Ommanney, who dated Harry when she was 34 and he was 21, also denied being the woman in question, adding that he was “clearly” an experienced lover when they got together in 2006.

In 2001, the royal was still a student at Eton College in Windsor when one of the royal family’s bodyguards, Marko, visited him.
At the start of the meeting, Prince Harry says he suspected Marko had heard of the one-night stand, which he described as a “humiliating” experience.
Over lunch at a cafe in the city center, the bodyguard, who had a “somber look” on his face, told the Prince that he had been sent to “find out the truth.”
The father of two wrote: “I suspected he was referring to my recent loss of virginity, an inglorious episode, with an older woman. She really liked horses and she treated me like a young stallion.
