Angelina Jolie’s father, actor Jon Voight, took to Instagram to defend Israel’s actions, while decrying his daughter’s views and dismissing them as “lies.”
Jolie has strongly condemned the country’s response to the October 7 Hamas terror attacks, which killed 1,400 people, the majority of whom were mostly civilians.
But in a video posted online, Voight, 84, did not hold back in his criticism of his daughter Jolie, saying, “I am very disappointed that my daughter, like so many, has no understanding of God’s glory, God’s truths,” Voight began. .
Jolie, a former special envoy of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, accused Israel of “deliberately bombing children, women, families, deprived of food, medicine and humanitarian aid,” in violation of international law.
In response, Voight said he was “disappointed” that his daughter does not understand that Hamas’ goal “is to destroy the land of the Jews.”
“The Israeli army must protect this soil,” he said.

“This is about destroying the history of God’s land, the Holy Land, the land of the Jews. This is justice for God’s children of the Holy Land,” Voight continued.
‘The Israeli army must protect your soil, your people. This is war. It won’t be what the left thinks, it can’t be civilized now.
“Israel was attacked by inhuman terror on innocent babies, mothers, fathers and grandparents,” Voight noted. “You fools call Israel the problem, you need to look at yourselves and ask: who am I? What am I? And ask God if I teach the truth, or am I being lied to and following everyone else? Those who understand the truth see the lie.”
“These animals want to exterminate Jews and Christians,” he continued. ‘They see that the Palestinians have not been neglected financially. They received huge cash injections, which they did not share with the people. Instead, they made weapons out of anger.
‘The people of Israel take care of people. They love and cherish. Something these animals don’t understand. Justice shall prevail.’
Voight called on Jolie to reconsider her views on Israel’s role in the war: “Hamas and this deception of their rule are destroying their own people,” he added.
He also praised the “great heroism” of the Jewish people in the face of a series of tragedies throughout history, from the Holocaust to the recent “Hamas Holocaust.”
Voight’s comments have received more than 80,000 likes so far and come after Jolie made a series of posts on Instagram condemning Israel for bombing Gaza.

In her own contributions, she claims that Israel’s actions are “creating desperate new humanitarian needs every day.”

“I, too, pray for the immediate, safe return of every hostage, and for the families who bear the unimaginable pain of the murder of a loved one. Most of all, the children were murdered and the many children who are now orphaned,” the star wrote.
She continued: “What happened in Israel is an act of terror. But that cannot justify the innocent lives lost in the bombing of a civilian population in Gaza that has nowhere to go, no access to food or water, no possibility of evacuation, and not even the basic human right to a border to cross or seek refuge,” Jolie said. added.
‘Because I have been working with refugees for twenty years, my focus is on people displaced by violence, in whatever context.’

“This is the deliberate bombing of a trapped population with nowhere to escape,” she said.
‘Whole families are being murdered. As the world watches and with the active support of many governments, millions of Palestinian citizens – children, women and families – are being collectively punished and dehumanized, while being deprived of food, medicine and humanitarian aid in violation of international law.” Jolie said.

Angelina Jolie calls for an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and Israel in a post on Instagram. She will speak as United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in 2021
According to UNHCR website“she conducted more than sixty field missions that bore witness to suffering and resilience and called for urgent solutions to protect the rights and safety of displaced people.”
In December 2022, she stepped down from her role as special envoy to address a broader range of humanitarian and human rights issues.
“Gaza has a population of over two million people (half of them children), who have been living under severe blockade for almost two decades, on top of decades of displacement and statelessness,” Jolie emphasized in her message.
“The few aid trucks coming in are a fraction of what is needed (and were delivered daily before the current conflict), and the bombings are creating desperate new humanitarian needs every day.”
Jolie then condemned “the denial of aid, fuel and water” because the “collective” punishes all people, including innocent civilians and children.
“Humanity demands an immediate ceasefire. Palestinian and Israeli lives – and the lives of all people in the world – are equally important,” she concluded. “Anything that can prevent civilian casualties and save lives must be done. Like many others, I have donated to medical relief efforts. I have chosen to support the work of Doctors Without Borders and have closed in response to their reporting.”
