An elderly man has been charged with rape after allegedly approaching and sexually assaulting several women in public parks.
The 83-year-old man has been charged with three counts of sexual assault and one count of rape following alleged incidents that took place in Queensland earlier this year.
The alleged assaults took place between September and October in parks in the Acacia Ridge and Springfield areas, south and south-east of Brisbane.

The Springfield Lakes man has been refused bail and will appear at Ipswich Magistrates Court on November 18. Courier mail reports.
Police are asking anyone with information about the incidents to come forward.
