ABC radio Adelaide’s Stacey Lee announced on Thursday she was leaving the station to join rival network FIVEaa.
Lee’s resignation is effective immediately and follows two years as host of the 89AMs breakfast show alongside Nikolai Beilharz.
The former Sky News journalist will take over the afternoon session as a solo presenter at FIVEaa, reports the Adelaide Advertiser.
“The opportunity to be part of the FIVEaa family was an opportunity too good to pass up,” said Lee.
“I love talking directly to the Adelaide audience and learning what makes them tick, so I’m really excited to be able to do more of that in a solo capacity on afternoons.”

Sydney-born Lee joined the ABC in 2019 after working with Sky News, Channel Seven and Channel Nine.
Meanwhile, ABC stars Sonya Feldhoff and Jules Schiller have been announced as the channel’s new breakfast team.
ABC management has confirmed that Beilharz will continue to host the breakfast show on his own until the new year.
It comes after Lee made headlines last week when speculation surfaced that she was ready to leave the ABC for the top-rated FIVEaa.
Lee and Beilharz have suffered as their breakfast slot rivals fell to third place in the latest radio ratings survey.

Triple M and FIVEaa were in first place with 12.2 percent audience, while ABC breakfast scored 10.5 percent.
The new gig for Feldhoff and Schiller won’t be the first time the pair have worked together.
The pair co-hosted the Off the Cuff segment as part of Feildhoff’s Adelaide ABC Afternoons, which she has hosted since 2012.
Schiller is well known to ABC listeners after hosting Drive Time since 2017.
