Abbie Cornish ditches Anna Nicole Smith’s blonde wig as the brunette takes a break from filming late star’s biopic to step out on red carpet at The Bikeriders premiere in LA

Abbie Cornish took a break from filming the upcoming Anna Nicole Smith biopic to attend the premiere of The Bikeriders in Los Angeles.

On Monday, the Australian actress, 41, made sure all eyes were on her in a bright pink number as she stepped out for the film screening starring Austin Butler and Jodie Comer.

Abbie wore high-waisted pale pink trousers and a matching blazer, adding a touch of sparkle with a bejeweled bandeau.

She wore gold jewelry — a yellow topaz pendant necklace and an emerald green pendant complete with matching earrings — and a $329 The Wolf Gang shoulder bag.

Abbie ditched the blonde wig she wore on the set of the film Trust Me, I’m a Doctor and showed off her brunette hair which was styled into a short bob with an off-center parting.

The Limitless star opted for a soft pink makeup palette with a pink lip and showed off her French manicure with square files.

Earlier this month, Abbie was photographed filming scenes as Anna Nicole Smith at the WeHo Pride Parade in West Hollywood, California, for the movie Trust Me, I’m a Doctor.

The Lochinvar, Australia, native was with co-star Kal Penn, 47, at the celebratory gathering in Southern California, where he recreated an earlier appearance Smith had at a Pride Parade on June 12, 2005.

Cornish wore a silver faux alligator skin dress with open sides, mimicking the look that Smith – who died in 2007 at the age of 39 after an accidental drug overdose – wore when she was a featured guest at the 2005 proceedings.

The actual garment worn by the late Smith was sold by Julien’s Auctions in June 2010 for $437.50.

Trust Me, I’m a Doctor is based on the memoirs of Dr. Sandeep Kapoor’s 2017 film Trust Me, I’m A Doctor: My Life Before, During and After Anna Nicole Smith, Deadline reported last month, in which Penn played the role of Dr. Kapoor.

Cornish, who has appeared in films such as Bright Star, Limitless and Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, also matched the accessories the late Smith wore during the celebration.

They included multi-colored beaded necklaces with beaded bracelets and a rainbow flag that she waved.

Cornish wore her blonde locks down and wore silver strappy heels as she was pictured next to Penn as cameras rolled over the film. She was photographed last month while filming in Toronto.

Penn was dressed in a sky blue T-shirt with the title of the film, brown pants and black shoes. He was pictured walking arm-in-arm with Cornish, as well as riding on the back of a vehicle holding a card with the logo of the nonprofit Project Angel Food.

Cornish said in a statement to Deadline last month that “playing Anna Nicole Smith is such a dream” and that she felt “honored to have been chosen by our amazing producers and talented writer/director, Thane Economou.”

She added, “And I’m so excited to work with our amazing cast and crew. I am blessed to stand alongside the charismatic and gifted Kal Penn and tell the story of this moment in history.”

Cornish said she was “really grateful” for the opportunity to play Smith.

“There are so many layers and chapters to Anna’s life story that I am looking forward to appearing on screen with all my heart and soul,” she said.

The film follows how the doctor’s life is “turned upside down when he is implicated in the death of his former patient,” the newspaper reported, as he was “forced into the spotlight by the court of public opinion.”

Penn told Deadline in a statement that the film will tell the interesting story of Dr. Kapoor, who he plays in the film, will highlight.

“We all know the tragic story of the iconic Anna Nicole Smith,” Penn said, “but very few of us – myself included – knew much about her young doctor: flamboyant, old-fashioned, blurring the lines between patient and acquaintance, and ultimately arrested and charged after her death.

“It’s a wild story brought to life in a truly amazing script.”

Hamilton, best known for her iconic character Sarah Connor from the Terminator films, plays Kapoor’s lawyer Ellyn Garafalo in the film.

The cast is completed by David Julian Hirsh, Eric Woolfe, Charlotte Ubben, Dhirendra and Al Sapienza.

Sapienza, best known for her role as short-lived enforcer Mikey Palmice on The Sopranos, posted a photo to Instagram last month of a table read for the film.

He wrote: ‘1st Table Read for my new project with Kal Penn, Abbie Cornish and Linda Hamilton. Thank you Stephanie Gorin. I fucking love showbiz!!!! LOL.’
