Abbie Chatfield teases possibility of entering politics if her reality career goes bust: ‘It shocks me that people are still living like it’s 1954’
Abbie Chatfield on Friday revealed the one unlikely thing that would have to happen before she would consider a career in politics.
The 29-year-old Masked Singer star said she is considering becoming a politician if her reality TV career fails.
‘I recently thought, “Maybe I should go into politics”, but I’m tired. Maybe if FBoy Island Australia Season Three doesn’t happen!’ Abbie said The Sydney Morning Herald.
Chatfield added that she got her strong liberal values from being raised in a single-parent household by her mother.
‘It shocks me that people still live as if it were 1954, the women cleaning and the men cutting the meat. My mother is a very intelligent, talkative, progressive woman.
“When I was growing up with her, we would watch the news and she would say, ‘Isn’t it horrible how these women are treated?’ There was constant conversation. It helped me hone my debate skills.”
The brunette beauty then revealed the hilarious words she wanted engraved on her tombstone: ‘A QR code that says “Stream FBoy Island season two right now.”‘
Earlier this week, Chatfield revealed her massive paycheck for presenting season two of binge dating series FBoy Island Australia, and how it compares to her other jobs.

The Bachelor star explained in a series of TikTok videos that while hosting reality TV shows can be lucrative, the money earned from it is “not as much as you would think.”
“It’s a lot of money. Seriously, it’s a lot of f**king money, especially for a slut from Brisbane who didn’t have a car to learn to drive when I was in high school,” she said.
In another video, Abbie explains that while her TV and radio jobs can be quite rewarding, it may not be worth the effort, especially considering the potential income from social media.

“When you compare the money you get offered to do a TV appearance to the time and energy it takes to make the same amount of money through social media, it’s not really worth it,” she added.
“To host a whole season, which is months and months of work – there’s still pre-production and post-production. And the hectic period before that, the weeks leading up to it [filming]with fittings and talking about casting and dates and having conversations with producers.’
Abbie, who has also appeared as a judge on The Masked Singer and I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, revealed that she has been offered roles on TV shows on a regular basis but ultimately turned them down due to the time and energy involved and because she preferred to focus on social media.
The next season of FBoy Island Australia is just a few weeks away and the three women looking for love on the controversial dating show have already been revealed.
