She started the video by thanking her fans for their support following the revelation of her relationship with Adam, as she candidly shared her past dating struggles.

“You know how hard things have been for me lately, especially this past year,” she said.

‘Like all of 2023 and also in general, with men and dating and just in life.’

Abbie went on to explain that it is harder for her to be in a relationship than it is for other women due to her battle with ADHD and “trauma.”

ADHD is a behavioral disorder defined by inattention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity.

‘I never thought someone would love me so much because of my ADHD or other traumas I have. Like CPTSD [Complex Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder] and all these things,” she said in tears.

“Many of the things you don’t even know have happened. “A lot of bad things happened, especially last year,” she added.

The Masked Singer judge said she’s been cheated on “a million times,” but that didn’t even scratch the surface of what she’s been through.

“Someone cheating on me doesn’t even scratch the surface of what I’ve experienced in my life and in relationships,” she said.

She explained that her new romance with Adam has broken the mold as she gushed over her new partner.

She said she previously had a habit of hiding her personality from her partners — a behavior she called “masking” — but that she doesn’t have to do this with Adam.

“I always thought I would somehow settle for my relationships, and last night at dinner I realized I would never wear a mask around Adam,” she enthused.

Abbie concluded by sharing an encouraging message to fellow fans with ADHD who are also struggling to find love.

‘There’s someone out there [for you]And if it’s not, then you’re okay and you’re better off alone,” she said.

‘I know it’s weird to hear… but I wish when I was single I would just let myself be a jellyfish in the ocean and ride the wave rather than worry about it would make.’

After being hit with romance rumors, Abbie officially confirmed the identity of her new boyfriend on her It’s A Lot podcast earlier this week.

She talked about their first date and ‘crazy sex life’ in the extensive and unfiltered chat with Adam during the show.

Of their first date, she said: ‘I was so worried, I thought, “I don’t know if I have enough things to talk to this person about.” But we had a really good date, and it was actually still the best date of my life.”

Adam agreed, adding: “It was incredible. It looked like something out of a fairy tale.’

Abbie explained that her crush on Adam started to develop more and more as they continued to spend time together.

“Then we had sex for the first time, and it was fine,” she said before revealing how they spent time together by the pool a few weeks later.

“We were sitting by the pool drinking margaritas… and the sex got crazy,” she continued.

Abbie shared how Adam makes her feel ‘safe and calm all the time’ and said their relationship is ‘so good and perfect’.

“Not only are we so in love, but we have a very healthy relationship,” she added.

WHAT IS ADHD?

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a behavioral disorder defined by inattention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity.

It affects about five percent of children in the US. In Great Britain, about 3.6 percent of boys and 0.85 percent of girls suffer from this.

Symptoms usually appear at an early age and become more apparent as the child grows. These may also include:

  • Constant fidgeting
  • Poor concentration
  • Excessive movement or talking
  • Act without thinking
  • Inability to cope with stress
  • Little or no sense of danger
  • Careless mistakes
  • Mood swings
  • Forgetfulness
  • Difficulty organizing tasks
  • Constantly starting new tasks before finishing old ones
  • Inability to listen or carry out instructions

Most cases are diagnosed between six and twelve years of age. Adults can also suffer from it, but there is less research into this.

The exact cause of ADHD is unclear, but it is believed to involve genetic mutations that affect a person’s brain function and structure.

Premature babies and babies with epilepsy or brain damage are at greater risk.

ADHD is also linked to anxiety, depression, insomnia, Tourette’s and epilepsy.

There is no medicine.

A combination of medication and therapy is usually recommended to relieve symptoms and make daily life easier.
