Abbie Chatfield went on a tirade on Wednesday nightcomplaining about renovators and homebuyers buying up ‘heritage’ homes from before the 1980s and altering their original design.
She said she “feared” they would destroy all the “cool, defining features of those eras” by painting everything over with “stark Dulux white” and adding “a Colorbond f**king roof.”
“It actually bothers me to my core and makes me afraid for the future when I see people from the 1920s to the 1980s buying a beautiful house with character,” she began in a video on Instagram.
“A well-built house with things like exposed brick, crown molding, exposed wood, wood paneling and sunken living rooms, like it has really cool, era-defining features.”
The FBoy Island host added: “I just know they’re going to render that thing and paint it sleek Dulux white with a Colorbond f**king roof.”
