Bachelor star Abbie Chatfield has shared three clues that you could be inadvertently dating a ‘f**kboy’.

“F**kboy” is a slang term used to describe men who emotionally manipulate women with the intention of getting them into bed, before suddenly dumping them.

Abbie, 27, has a lot of history with her own love rats and delved into her expertise as the host of BINGE’s new reality dating series FBoy Island.

Speaking to Daily Mail Australia at FBoy Island’s launch party in Sydney’s Potts Point on Thursday night, Abbie shared some hints on how to spot a love rat.

“If someone is love bombing you, that’s a huge red flag,” she began, referring to the dating tactic where someone “bombs” a person with extreme displays of affection in a manipulative way.

“If they’re over-beaten too soon [and if they’re] meeting you incessantly within two weeks, only to distance yourself later, you may also be dealing with an FBoy,” she added.

When asked what are the best tips for getting rid of a love rat, Abbie laughed, “It’s a steep climb with lots of therapy and a few good friends to keep you from getting sucked into their charms.”

“They’re not easy to lose,” she warned.

Abbie also revealed what fans can expect in FBoy Island’s controversial debut season.

The series is packed with suspense and sensation. I mean, the first episode will make waves in the Australian TV landscape,” she teased.

“I’m biting my tongue not to give anything away, but let’s just say there’s an incident, some fallout and it’s so refreshing to see men perform for the right causes.”

Meanwhile, talking about her hosting debut, the former Bachelor in Paradise star confessed, “Taking up the hosting baton has been an incredible journey.”

“The roles are very different from my time as a judge on The Masked Singer, and it’s been a pretty nerve-wracking ride. There’s been a lot of self-imposed pressure, but Warner Brothers and BINGE have been great.”
