Abbie Chatfield reveals her mental health is ‘the worst in years’ due to constant workload: ‘I’ve been having dark thoughts I can’t shake’
Abbie Chatfield made the sad admission on Tuesday that her mental health has fallen to an all-time low due to the increasing workload.
The TV and radio host, 27, shared several photos on Instagram from her recent shoot for Stellar magazine, revealing in the caption that she had been in a bad place mentally on the day of the shoot.
“Love these photos, Stellar’s team are some of the best in the country, but these photos were taken while I was having breaks to go outside to cry,” she wrote.
“Lately my mental health has been the worst in years. The first quarter of the year brought a level of work stress that I had never experienced.
“All of this led to me constantly having dark thoughts that I couldn’t shake. The morning of this shoot I cried all the way up there.”

She said her increasing workload is bothering her, but her hectic schedule doesn’t allow her to take time off to recover.
Many of Abbie’s celebrity friends were quick to support her, pleading with the Hit Network host to prioritize her mental health.
“I pray you can find some time off to recalibrate and ground yourself,” said Academy of Dance star Dena Kaplan.

In December, Abbie revealed she was on bed rest after canceling her live podcast appearance on Beyond The Valley due to mental and physical exhaustion.
The Bachelor star was set to host a live podcast at Melbourne’s Beyond The Valley festival, but canceled a few days early.
“Lately my mental health has been the worst in years, the first quarter of the year brought a level of work stress I had never experienced,” she told her followers
She shared an emotional and heartfelt Instagram post to her 451,000 followers explaining how exhausted she was, both mentally and physically.
Abbie clarified that she didn’t have a “breakdown,” but pulled out before reaching the edge of her “threshold.”
She went on to explain that she could not have given the 90-minute show her full attention and that the audience would have been let down by this.
At the time, many of Abbie’s friends were very supportive, such as Married At First Sight star Domenica Calarco and influencer Steph Claire Smith.
