Abbie Chatfield mocks FBoy Island cast for acting like ‘divas’ in candid behind-the-scenes video

Abbie Chatfield gave a behind-the-scenes look at season two of FBoy Island.

The clip shows the presenter being touched up for a photo, while the actors complain about having to strike the same poses over and over again.

“Remember where we were, then we don’t have to go through the whole ordeal again,” says a production manager, as the boys groan in unison.

“Grow up! They take a f***ing picture and then they say, ‘It’s been so hard.’ Grow up!” Abbie said, rolling her eyes.

One of the boys joins in the conversation: ‘Do you have to kneel all the time? My knees are inside me right now. Folded inwards.’

Abbie laughed and admitted it was funny. She suggested the man get more screen time.

“This season we have FBOY’s, Nice Guys and DIVA’S APPARENTLY! But at least they are funny (to men),” she wrote in her caption.

Abbie added in the comments: ‘Imagine if they had to wear heels.’

A new cast of handsome FBoys and Nice Guys now compete for love or $50,000 cash in the second season of Chatfield’s matchmaking show.

Krystal Thomas, Ally Wood and Nicole Miltrov are tasked with navigating the dating world and determining which men are in it purely for love and which are only in it for the money.

But some fans of the series Binge, which posted its latest lineup of 21 single men on Instagram on Wednesday, are less than impressed with the cast.

Opponents took to social media to voice their complaints ahead of the show’s premiere.

‘Selection of last season [was] “Much better,” wrote one online critic, while another claimed that “everyone is wrong.”

“Why are they all GRONKS this season?” someone else asked.

“Oh dear, the girls are going to be so disappointed,” wrote another commenter.

Construction worker Sean, 23, and fashion-conscious woman Timothy, 32, are the only two singles from Western Australia.

Meanwhile, most of the upcoming season’s handsome lads hail from New South Wales, including 28-year-old gardener Jerome, stuntman Eddy, 31, and DJ Frank, 25.

TikTok star Jake (31), influencer Jin (25), model Joey (23), musician Minjarrah (30) and expat Vicente (27) will also appear in the New South Wales matchmaking series.

In the second season, presented by Abbie (29), we follow the leading actresses as they try to distinguish the sincere men from the FBoys who are only after a cash prize.

Throughout the series, Krystal, 28, Ally, 27, and Nicole, 26, send home the male contestants they believe are only on the show for the $50,000 grand prize.

The Nice Guys who are voted out are celebrated for their dedication to love in the ‘Nice Guy Grotto’, while FBoys are banished to ‘LimBRO’ in an attempt to find redemption.

At the end of the season, each woman is left with only two suitors to choose from, without knowing who is a Nice Guy and who is an FBoy.

If they choose the Nice Guy, they split the cash prize. However, if they choose an FBoy, it is up to him to split the money or run with it.

The first season was a huge success: the show was nominated for Best Reality Program at the 2024 AAA Awards.

Season two of FBoy will be available to stream on Binge from August 5.
