Abbie Chatfield had to cancel her popular evening radio show on Wednesday after an unfortunate on-set incident ended in a trip to hospital.
The surprise announcement hit social media just minutes before the latest episode of Hot Nights with Abbie was about to hit the airwaves.
The update on the show’s account mysteriously read, “Jimmy, Nath and Abbie are unavailable tonight due to an incident that left one of them in the hospital.”
Hot Nights with Abbie is hosted by Chatfield, Jimmy Smith and Nath Roye.
While the post did not go into details, it went on to say that further updates will be revealed on Thursday night.

It comes after Abbie’s former Hit Network co-host Rohan Edwards finally addressed his shocked departure from the show.
Rohan was a longtime co-host of Abbie’s Hot Nights radio show until April when he abruptly quit the program under mysterious circumstances.
Rogan spoke about his departure on Instagram on Monday, writing, “I probably should have said something sooner. But thank you to the people who have lovingly messaged me and checked on your boy over the past few months.
“Life outside of radio has been pretty weird and I’ve had a million different emotions about everything,” he continued.
“But it’s also been very refreshing and it’s on the rise.”

“Life off radio has been pretty weird and I’ve had a million different emotions about everything,” Edwards wrote on Instagram
Rohan then said that he was looking for a complete career change in the future.
“I get really excited about the idea of doing something new and finding another passion,” he said.
‘I am not finished yet. I haven’t stopped creating and I’m still driven to succeed.’
The post was flooded with supportive comments, including one from fellow radio personality Nic Kelly, who briefly took over Rohan’s slot after his bizarre departure.
‘Love you mate. Go get them big horse x,” Kelly wrote.
Like Edwards, Kelly also abruptly quit Abbie’s Hot Nights show, leading Abbie to say she was “dumped again” during a candid broadcast.
Rohan was a longtime co-host of Abbie’s Hot Nights radio show until April when he abruptly quit the program under mysterious circumstances.
In April, a Southern Cross Australia spokesperson said Edwards would be leaving to pursue his own projects and would not get caught up in rumors of a feud with Chatfield.
But Edwards has seemingly confirmed there is bad blood between the two, sharing a cryptic Instagram post targeting people trying to stop him.
The broadcaster and DJ shared a meme reading ‘Stop hanging around people who don’t want you to win’ – in a post that many Instagram sleuths suspected was aimed at Chatfield.
“Nobody knows for sure what’s going on. Abbie seems to be getting on well with Rohan on air, but people are wondering if things aren’t so rosy behind the scenes,” a source said at the time.
Edwards had followed Max Corstorphan, the founder of Hot Nights, out the door.
No reason was given for Corstorphan’s departure several weeks earlier.
Meanwhile, Abbie is currently hosting her new Binge reality series Fboy Island, balancing her roles on Hot Nights and her It’s a Lot podcast.
