Abbey Clancy ‘will launch a TV career when she lands on an interior design show’

Abbey Clancy is reportedly set to launch a TV career after landing a new interior design show.

The model, 37, is said to be “over the moon” to have been chosen to headline the show, with the star “hugely passionate” about interior design.

Abbey had reportedly been “making waves” thanks to her new podcast with husband Peter Crouch, 42, and is now “forging a solo path in the box”.

said a source Sun: ‘Abbey has been making waves on her podcast with Peter and now she’s forging a solo path on the box. She has been chosen to head up a new interior design program that she is making and developing for ITVBE and ITVX.’

The six-part series will see Abbey meet other women who are passionate about interior design, and as Abbey also loves upgrading interiors, she is “very happy” to have been asked to participate.

Exciting times: Abbey Clancy is reportedly set to launch a TV career after landing a new interior design show.

The source continued: “She’s had a few hosting stints before, but on lesser-known shows and channels, like when she headlined Britain’s Next Top Model on Lifetime for a series in 2015.”

“This will be Abbey’s first solo show job for a major network and I couldn’t be more excited.”

Her and Peter’s podcast Therapy Crouch has proven to be a huge success since it launched earlier this year, with a source praising the star for being “warm and personable”, adding that ITV bosses believe that the public will love it.

MailOnline has contacted Abbey representatives for comment.

The 2013 Strictly Come Dancing champion rose to fame on Britain’s Next Top Model in 2006, where she came second.

She then welcomed four children: Sophia, 11, Liberty, seven, Johnny, four, and Jack, three, with Peter, whom she married in 2011.

It comes after Abbey expressed her fury at her husband Peter after he claimed reaching the Champions League final with Liverpool was better than the birth of their children.

The model confronted the former striker over his comments on her podcast, The Therapy Crouch.

He started by saying: ‘Having kids isn’t even close to the feeling you get when you play football.’

Then, reaching for his mobile phone, he added: “I’m actually going to try to find this on my phone now because it was actually disgusting.”

Peter tried to defend himself, saying, “Well, this is something you know we ran into, I think when you’re potentially in the public eye, you know that stories and words can be misconstrued, hopefully.”

Ignoring him, Abbey read a headline on her phone that read: “Peter Crouch says reaching Champions League final was better than having his children.”

He turned to Peter: ‘Three days ago you said this.’

Peter replied: ‘Yeah, but obviously I said it a while ago, they put it on 3 days ago.’

Abbey interrupted: ‘So you said it.’

Peter admitted: ‘Well vaguely’.

Reading another article, Abbey said: “Peter Crouch risked angering his wife Abbey Clancy by saying that Liverpool’s path to the Champions League final was better than the birth of their four children.”

The striker only came on as a substitute, you weren’t even a real player, you weren’t even involved. How can you even say that?

Peter replied: “I was the top scorer for Liverpool in the run-up to that final, at the level of Kaká.”

‘If I had played in the final, we would have won it and I could have become the top scorer. Kaka would not have existed.

Abbey interrupted, “But you didn’t and you didn’t play, so there you go.”

Not impressed: She started by saying, “Having kids isn’t even close to the feeling you get when you play soccer.”
